Mission Statement:

To improve the health, safety and welfare of all Erie County citizens, the strength of its economy and the quality of the environment.

 

Thomas M. Ferrell, Jr., is now serving his fifth term as Erie County Commissioner.  He is President of the Board.  Mr. Ferrell was born and raised in Sandusky.  He attended Sandusky High School, graduated from Bowling Green State University and taught government, history and economics at Sandusky High School.  From 1986 – 1989 Mr. Ferrell served as a Perkins Township Trustee and on November 2, 2004 he was re-elected to his fifth term as Commissioner of Erie County.

 

Commissioner Nancy C. McKeen is currently serving her third term as Erie County Commissioner.  Mrs. McKeen was born and raised in Sandusky and Perkins Township and is a graduate of Sandusky High School.  She attended Bliss Business College in Columbus and the Cincinnati Institute.  Mrs. McKeen retired from New Departure in 1992 as Benefits Administrator.  In 1994 she was asked to run for political office and in 1996 won election as County Commissioner.  On November 2, 2004 Mrs. McKeen was re-elected to a third term as Erie County Commissioner.

 

Bill Monaghan is a fifth generation Erie County resident and was born and raised in Sandusky and Perkins Township.  He is Vice-President of the Board.  He is married to the former Judy Baxter and has two grown children and six grandchildren.  He graduated from St Mary's High School and attended Bowling Green State University. He retired in December, 2005 from Wabash Alloys, formerly known as Vulcan Materials, after 40 years in the secondary aluminum business.  Bill was the Senior Purchasing Manager at Wabash Alloys.  He was elected on November 7, 2006 to his first term as Erie County Commissioner.
