The charges for sewer are based upon water consumption. Click here for current sewer rates. As an example of how to calculate an Erie County Sewer District customers monthly bill for a water usage of 10 CCF; the cost would be the minimum $11.90 plus $4.25 per CCF times eight (x8) CCF (=$34.00) which totals $45.90.
CCF Cost per CCF 0-2 CCF Minimum Charge $11.90 Over 2 CCF $4.25 per CCF Customers residing in the City of Huron are
billed for sanitary sewer service only by Erie County. The charges for
sewer are based upon your water consumption. The City of Huron reads the
water meters and sends the County a report of water consumption for each
quarter. Although you receive a bill every month, actual charges are
calculated once every quarter. That means you receive bills for actual
readings once ever third month. The remaining months are estimated
bills. Estimated bills are calculated by dividing the previous quarterly
billing amount by three. As an example
of how to calculate a Huron Sewer District customers monthly bill for a
water usage of 30 CCF for the quarter, the cost would be the minimum
$36.21 per quarter (for 6 CCF) plus $5.07 per CCF times twenty-four
(x24) CCF (=$121.68) which totals $157.89, less payments received
towards the two (2) prior estimated months.
