Landfill Rates

As of January 1, 2008 

 
   
  Landfill Disposal Rates are:
  $39.10 per ton for exempt waste (construction and demolition waste)
  $45.25 per ton for solid waste. 
Rate includes: Host township fee $0 .25 per ton
 

Ohio EPA fee :

Non-Exempt $3.50 per ton

Exempt $1.60 per ton

 
Solid Waste District fee $4.00 per ton

 
Small Vehicle (pickup, small trailer, van)
Rates are: $10.00 minimum for the first 440 pounds for cars.

$20.00 minimum for the first 880 pounds for small pickups, or small trailers, vans, etc.

Loads in excess of the minimum weight shall be assessed the appropriate bulk rate.

 
  Additional Special Charges include:
$20.00 recycling charge for each appliance containing freon
$10.00 extra for untarped or unsecured loads
$25.00 (minimum) per 15 minute container dig-out

Charges for unauthorized disposal of yard waste or scrap tires

 
Recycling charge for scrap tires (10 tire limit):
Passenger Tires $  2.00 without rim $  3.00 with rim
Light Truck Tires $  3.00 without rim $  4.00 with rim
Semi Truck Tires $10.00 without rim $20.00 with rim
Tractor Tires $20.00 without rim No rims accepted
Or Mixed Loads $    .10 per pound  
 

A Landfill Admittance Coupon Book containing 20 coupons of $1 value each is available for $20.00 at the D.O.E.S. Billing Division, P.O. Box 549, 2900 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
