WHERE TO RECYCLE COMPUTER EQUIPMENT

Although computer equipment can legally be disposed of in the trash, depending on its age and condition it may be donated or recycled instead.

Each year since 2000, the Erie County Solid Waste District has conducted a local Computer Roundup for computers and computer-related equipment. All collected material is either refurbished and donated or disassembled and recycled. Check the Calendar of Waste Reduction Program Events or call the Solid Waste District at 419-433-7303 to see when the next Computer Roundup is planned for Erie County.
