WHERE TO RECYCLE CELL PHONES
Please be sure to deactivate your phone’s service before you donate it.
Unwanted, but working, cell phones (wireless phones) may be donated to the Erie County Senior Cell Phone program. The phones are programmed to call 9-1-1 only, and are distributed to senior citizens for their safety.
Take the phone, battery and charger to any Erie County law enforcement agency including:
Cell phones, PDA's, and pagers may be dropped off at any Staples store near the cell phone/PDA display area. A portion of the proceeds from the phones is donated to the Sierra Club.

You can also donate your used wireless phone to support Donate a Phone CALL to PROTECT program, which aids in the fight against domestic violence. Donated wireless phones are reprogrammed with emergency phone numbers and redistributed free of charge to victims in need. Older phones or phones in need of serious repair are sold, with proceeds used to support the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and other domestic violence programs.
