This program is for those volunteers who would like to do a little extra. Groups, businesses, organizations or families are invited to adopt a two mile stretch of state roadway within Erie County. The adopting group is required to adopt an area for a minimum of two years and is asked to clean that area at least four times per year. All materials needed for the clean up are supplied by the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Roadside litter is unsightly, but thanks to thousands of volunteers, roadside litter in Erie County has decreased by 70% since 1987.
