Berlin Township: Chapin Road

Bridge B-411 on Chapin Road just south of Hill Road in Berlin Township will be replaced beginning August 5, 2008. The completion date for the construction is November 21, 2008. During this time no through traffic will be allowed on Chapin Road between Hill Road and S.R. 113.

Detour Route (Click for map)

Northbound:

• West on S.R. 113, then right onto Arlington Road
• North on Arlington Road, then right onto Huff Road
• East on Huff Road to Chapin Road

Southbound:

• West on Huff Road, the left onto Arlington Road
• South on Arlington Road, then left onto S.R. 113
• East on S.R. 113 to Chapin Road

The Erie County Engineer’s Office is completely replacing the existing bridge with a new precast reinforced concrete box culvert.

The contractor for the project is D & M Earthmoving, Ltd. of Wakeman, Ohio. The contract amount for this project is $156,896.88
