Access: Counties across the State of Ohio have developed family resource centers that offer universal access and welcome families regardless of income, martial status, race, religion, extent of need or other eligibility criteria.

Services: The Erie County Care-A-Van project can provide services in many neighborhoods and communities. The community family resource center provides agencies the opportunity to take services "on the road". Wellness exams, immunizations and screenings are conducted in the medical exam room. Agencies and community participants can interact in the multi-purpose room and referral area.

Funding: The Care-A-Van project has been supported in previous years through the funding efforts of the Erie County Commissioners, the Family and Children First Council, the Erie-Ottawa Mental Health & Recovery Board, the Ohio Children's Trust Fund, the Erie County United Way, the Sandusky-Erie County Community Foundation, the Frost Parker Foundation, the Dorn Foundation, the Mylander Foundation, the Wightman/Wieber Foundation, Erie County MR/DD, Erie County Health Department and other local entities.
