How does the County know about my business?
If you would like to have your business on Erie County’s bid mailing list, send a written request that includes your name, street address, phone number, and fax number. All of our bids are advertised in the Sandusky Register and are posted on bulletin boards at the Erie County Office Building, 247 Columbus Avenue, and at the Erie County Courthouse, 323 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870. Not all bids require you to pay a fee for the specs. Any fees for the specs are determined at the time of the bidding. Back to TopDo I need to respond to all bid item requests?
Normally, you should provide us with either a positive or negative response for a bid, but if you choose not to respond at all, it will be interpreted as a “negative” response. Back to TopDo I need to attend pre-bid meetings?
Some pre-bid meetings are mandatory, and in these cases you must attend if you wish to place a bid. If a pre-bid is not mandatory, you are not required to attend, although the pre-bid meeting may provide you with additional useful information about the project up for bid.
