Population of Erie County

Erie County is divided into 17 political jurisdictions and has a population of 79,551.  It has three cities:

Huron        7,958

Sandusky 27,844   The County Seat

Vermilion   4,937   (Vermilion lies in both Erie and Lorain Counties.  This is the population of the Erie County portion only.)

There are five villages:

Bay View         692

Berlin Heights 685

Castalia          935

Kelleys Island 367

Milan           1,025

 

There are nine townships:

Berlin         3,017

Florence     2,500

Groton        1,384

Huron         2,572

Margaretta 4,662

Milan          2,661

Oxford       1,096
